Ayang received a bachelor degree in Architecture from the Islamic University of Indonesia in Yogyakarta, but chose to follow her passion for decorative arts instead.
Originally, all of Ayang’s work was created using watercolours and gouache, but today she’s thoroughly modern and uses an iPad Pro with Clip Studio Paint.
Ayang’s style is lively and immediate, with plenty of bright colour and a whimsical feel to it. There’s a touch of Art Nouveau, a hint of the naïve and plenty of personality, with her unique brushwork shining through, even though her painting is now done on a tablet.
