Marguerite mainly works digitally, and has her own approach to image making. She craves organic forms and textures, but puts characters at the centre of almost everything she does. She finds movie posters like Robert McGinnis’ work on the James Bond series inspiring, and sometimes they inform her composition.
Unlike many other comic-inspired artists, Marguerite rarely uses heavy black linework. While her forms are strong, her lines have a lighter touch, which helps make her work so versatile. It also gives her illustrations a more elegant feel, which is often supported by a bright palette, and hints of pattern and organic textures.
