Character Design

The Character Design Illustrator composes personalities from visual properties. Shape Language plays an important role in this process. It uses the subconscious meanings we associate with shapes and colors to make fictional characters memorable, evoke identification or antipathy, and convey emotion. In Model Sheets or Character Sheets, the illustrator usually draws the character in the T-pose as well as from all other crucial angles to define the details of a 360° view. A character can be sketched in the classic way, converted into Vector or created as a rig with 3D modeling, whatever the project demands.
