Fine lines, quite contemporary

With her strong, line-based style, London-based artist May uses up a lot of fineliners!

May's process combines mark-making and strong graphic lines with a bold use of colour, resulting in a unique style. Her work includes private commissions and design for a range of international clients. Combining hand drawing with digital processes, she uses ink, pencil and watercolour to create beautiful illustration for many worldwide leading brands. May graduated with 1st class honours and has previously exhibited in London and Paris. Her current solo exhibition at The Modern Pantry, Clerkenwell runs till February 2014. Taking inspiration from daily life and the natural world, both real and imagined, the exhibition is a series of drawings that explores May’s interest in the relationship between food and art.
