An image starts with Victoria’s mechanical pencil hitting the paper, where she draws strong, deliberate lines to form the main composition with very little shading. Then it can go in one of two directions. It might be scanned into her computer for further work and colouring in Photoshop. Alternatively, to give it more interest she’ll paint in some watercolours by hand before applying the finishing touches digitally.
Victoria’s style is clear and simple, yet sophisticated and with touches of playfulness about it. Her use of colour is carefully controlled – most images are black and white with hints of colour to bring emphasis.
Victoria’s clients include Wine Enthusiast Magazine, Women's Health Magazine, Urban Outfitters, Kaplan International and Georgio PassiGatti.
